Girl's Outing!

On Monday we had a 4 generation girl's day out. We went to Red Butte Gardens, had a picnic, strolled through the gardens and totally enjoyed a day together. It was so special to share a day with my mom, daughter and grandaughter.

In the gardens we came upon these purple ball flowers and it brought back a memory to me. When my boys were young, about 2 & 5, we lived up behind the capital building next door to a lady that grew prize winning flowers. She had a bunch of these purple ball things and they were beautiful! One day my boys came in the house with their arms full of these flowers for their mom! They had picked every single one that she was growing. She came over later yelling and cussing about my awful children but all I could keep thinking was they picked them for their mommy...they loved me! Sorry lady but their hearts were in the right place!
