We drove out to see this spiral jetty yesterday, it was pretty cool. It was created in 1970 by artist sculptor Robert Smithson. The water levels rose after and it was submerged for over 30 years. It surfaced again in 2004 for a bit but then was under water again until spring of last year. It is on the Great Salt Lake out by Golden Spike Monument. With the water levels rising again it will probably be submerged again by late this spring. You can walk out on the spiral, it was fun! The whole spiral is about 1500 feet long and the walk ways are about 15 feet wide.
