We had a surprise birthday party last night for my mom's 90th birthday! She was very surprised and said she was truly blessed to have such a great family and she loved us all very much! Here are some pics of most of the kids/grandkids & great-grandkids that came. Happy Birthday Mom...I love you!
Well, we finished the firepit today (except for the grate) and decided to have a christening tonight! We roasted wienies and marshmallows and had s'mores! It was so much fun, I'm glad we finally got this project going! We still have a big stone patio to do but we can enjoy the fires in the meantime.

After almost a year of talking about and planning for, we started our backyard firepit today! We both ache like crazy tonight...hauling, lifting and placing these rocks is a lot more work than I ever thought it would be! But we are both very excited about it now and anxious to work some more on it later.
On Sunday Michael and I took our oldest grandaughter, Teresa, and our youngest grandaughter, Ellie, to the aquarium to see the new penguin display! We had so much fun with the girls, they are such great kids! I'm so lucky to be their Grammy!
These pictures don't show it very well but this morning everything was white, frosty and frozen! It looked so pretty like all the trees were crystal! It was COLD, but it was pretty.
