Well this week I went through a HUGE life change! After 18 years with Morris Murdock Travel I quit to go work for Voyager Travel. It was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, and the hardest decision I have ever had to make. Probably the part of the decision that was really the deciding factor was knowing if I didn't make this change I would be unemployed! My boss had been asked to go to this other agency and be president. His decision was based on being able to work more along the lines that he loved...church travel and humanitarian service. The new agency (new to us, not really new) is a very casual, very comfortable group of people. Here is a photo of my new desk!
OK, some of you may recognize it as the one in my home...that is where I am based! I'm truly hoping that this works out because I love my home office! I have a ton to learn very quickly though! The hardest part is the friends that I no longer work with. You spend so much time together that they actually become like your family and to say goodbye was so painful. You always say we will stay friends and we will keep in touch...I hope that really is the case.

I just sent you an email but oh my gosh!! Do you feel liberated?
Cris, I will always love you...no matter where you work. Quit worrying about your decision and embrace the change. You are a wonderul and talented person. You will do great.....but I will miss you.
Wow - what a transition that will be! Good luck.
Oh how comfy your new digs look :)
I love that you and Jen will be working in my neck of the woods. Now you can both stop over and feed and hold babies :) ha ha
Congratulations on finally making it out !
Mom, you'll do great at whatever you set out to do! I'm proud of you and love you, and excited for this new adventure for you!
Cris, good luck in your new job. I am sure that soon you will find working from home liberating - less travelling, more crafting! x
Congratulations on your big career move! Cheers for those of us working in our shorts and sandals (or pajamas sometimes)!
And think how much gas you will save not driving to an office.
=)
Love you,
Joanne
